Do you? As an individual, have you questioned your position on beauty and what you truly define as such? Alternatively, have you thoroughly questioned why?
We all have a clear image of the western standard of beauty that has been integrated into countless industries that we interact with daily, shifting societal norms and pressures constantly.
Put that aside. Are you able to observe appearances other than what you may immediately consider aesthetically pleasing, and find their beauty?
There are countless types of bodies, all of them unique and belonging to a “one time only” human experience of a soul. As humans, we have various genetics and circumstances that lead us to the state that our vessels are in. Are we able to sort through the superficial and proclaim that we both acknowledge and validate beauty in all forms?
Insert the cliché: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Do you think this holds true? Is a person able to recognize beauty in others only if they are able to recognize it in themselves?
With all that society dictates and everything that we know, do we believe ALL bodies are beautiful? Join the poll to let your voice be heard.
