The struggle to sport nails that we take pride in is real. We’ll dip the fingers, apply the polish, and try just about anything for the promise of a beautiful manicure. Among common efforts, especially following the previously mentioned, is the beacon of rescue many hail: the nail care supplement game.
Ranting women will bet their good spot in a yoga class for the supplements they swear by. Biotin, collagen, vitamin C, and folic acid are the usual suspects.
Do They Work?
So, the big question is: do these things work?
The rule of thumb is if you’re experiencing a deficiency that would affect your nails, supplementation may help to combat side effects. However, using supplements on top of an adequate supply can lead to an excess of vitamins, and potentially have negative side effects.
A Note from GR8NESS
Always consult with your healthcare provider before introducing any supplements to your regimen.
