While there are many diets offered on the market, science suggests that there is no one diet that’s right for anyone. Instead, it is recommended that those looking to obtain results from dieting should opt for a diet in which they can remain consistent.

Your Unique Diet

That said, a diet should also meet the needs of the individual. Portion, timing, and contents all matter, but finding a style that allows for longevity is key. This is where your personality traits come in. If you’re someone who tends to thrive in extremes, what will work for you over time is different than someone who likes to keep things simple. Discipline is a major factor, as well.

Finding the diet that is right for you is all about trial and error. If you feel like a diet is not something you can do for more than a couple of weeks in peace, it’s probably not for you.
