If you have a pet that is afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks, have anxiety when traveling, suffering from arthritis pain, seizures, and other health problems, you’ve probably considered CBD for your furry family member. There are almost as many CBD products for pets as there are for people. Which one should you choose for your furry family members?

We recommend that you talk to your vet about CBD for pets and if it might react with other medicine your pet may be taking. Look for products that follow Good Manufacturing Practices or have a seal from the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC). Do not use human products for your pet, they may have ingredients that are harmful to your pet, including THC.

CBD Oils and Tinctures

CBD tinctures, are liquid solutions that provide the benefits of CBD oil combined with other ingredients that allow maximum absorption and use of CBD in your pet’s body.

CBD Biscuits and Cookies

Since the bioavailability of CBD oil can degrade during the baking process, look for treats with medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) fractionated coconut oil that helps with CBD delivery. Low bioavailability lowers your pet’s ability to absorb the benefits from CBD.

Soft chews are developed for small dogs and cats, as well as older dogs that may have trouble chewing a harder treat.
