Are you a lip balm junkie, or do you barely give your lips a thought? Maybe you just haven’t found the right one, or maybe the right one just doesn’t exist. Why not try your hand at making your own?

With a few basic ingredients, you can have an easy-to-make lip balm you can carry with you anywhere. And, if you want to get super fancy, you can spice it up with essential oils and exotic ingredients.

Try out these DIY recipes to get the lip balm you’ll always carry. Don’t worry, you can always share your experiments with your friends as gifts. They’ll thank you, and so will your super-hydrated lips.

Note: Be careful melting beeswax, cocoa butter, and shea butter in the microwave. Use a microwave-safe bowl and check every 8-10 seconds to avoid burning. Once you’ve done it a few times, you’ll get a feel for the right amount of time.
