Baking Soda Can Help Relieve Heartburn

Adding just half a teaspoon of baking soda to half a glass of water is a great natural remedy for heartburn. If your heartburn doesn't resolve on the first try, don't be discouraged. The method can be repeated again in two hours if you're still not feeling relief.

Caution: Baking soda for heartburn relief is not recommended for children, and you should speak to your doctor if you're pregnant.

Baking Soda Can Clean Silver Jewelry

Mix even parts baking soda with warm water to make a paste and coat your silver jewelry. Use a soft, damp cloth or gentle sponge to rub the jewelry and then rinse. This method also works for silver utensils, candlesticks, and figurines.

Caution: You shouldn't use this method for any item that has gemstones or pearls.

Deodorize Household Items

Sprinkle the powder over the area you'd like to freshen up and let it sit for fifteen minutes. Afterwards, vacuum the space thoroughly. You'll notice the difference right away. The best part is that you can repeat this method as often as necessary, and make it part of your deep-clean routine.

Added Bonus: For stinky shoes, put some baking soda right on the pads and let it sit. You can shake out the extra the next day.
