Has your dog been a really good boy, but sadly there are no more treats to offer him? Well, put off that trip to the store because these excellent recipes for homemade dog treats are sure to tickle his fancy.

Dog Donuts

2 eggs

1/2 cup of peanut butter

1/3 cup of coconut oil

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 cup oats

1 cup flour

Bacon bits

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, except for the bacon and yogurt. Pour out the mixture into the cavities of a donut pan, which you’ll place in an oven preheated to 375 degrees. Go with firm compactness since you’ll not need to worry about rising. Bake for about 15 minutes in the oven. Once the donuts have cooled down, glaze one side in the yogurt and then sprinkle that side with bacon to complete the presentation.

Bacon Cheddar Treats

2 eggs

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 ½ cups rolled oats

4 cooked and crumbled bacon strips.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Take out your processor and add in all the ingredients apart from the eggs. Stop processing when the consistency hits a smooth, crumb-like texture at which point you’ll crack your eggs into the mix and further process until you attain a sticky dough. Spray a little flour onto a wood cutting board. Roll out the dough to no more than ¼ thickness. You can shape the dough as desired before letting it bake for 20 minutes within a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Wild Rice and Chicken Biscuits

2 eggs,

Chicken broth

Salt

Flour

Wild rice

Chicken

Start by boiling a piece of boneless chicken breast and making wild rice; allow to cool. Puree the chicken and rice with some chicken stock in a food processor or blender. Add flour, a pinch salt, egg, chicken and rice mixture into a bowl and mix well. Roll dough on a lightly floured board until ½ inch thick. Cut out into shapes. Bake for 30 minutes in 350-degree oven; then allow to harden.

There you have it, a few homemade canine treats that’ll truly make you your dog’s best friend if you weren’t already. These are so tasty that you’ll be tempted to try them out yourself, but don’t be afraid to take a bite! These recipes for homemade dog treats are just as good for you as they are for your furry friend.
