We put all this effort into our hair care routines to reach a place where we can maintain and manage our manes at a minimum. With so many options to improve hair, it can be difficult to understand what exactly is right for your hair. Could your hair care routine be hurting your hair?

Looking for a Hair Care Routine

On the one hand, you do want the best for your hair. You want it to be shiny, flowy, and the epitome of health. On the other end, you want it to cooperate.

You have different ideas of how it should act, and you expect it to act accordingly after purchasing products, getting haircuts, and reading up on how to manipulate it best. You expect that your efforts will yield a good hair day return. If only. But when can hair care hurt?

Is Your Hair Hurting?

The state of your hair depends on many things, environment, genetics, hormones, and hair care practices can all have an impact. If what you’ve tried doesn’t seem to work, it might be time to re-examine your routine.

Using hot styling tools, chemicals, or hair dye can all contribute to a less than desirable hair health. If you’re not ready to stop using these, there are ways to improve your hair health as you go. Finding ways to treat your hair according to your own specific needs, such as finding a shampoo or hair conditioner according to your hair type, is the way to go. Remember, hair care is also a form of self-care.
