Store Extra Plastic Bags Neatly

Everyone has a bag of plastic bags somewhere in the house. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Maybe they're under your kitchen sink, in the laundry room, or stuffed away in the linen closet. We just can't seem to throw them out.

But they take up space. Luckily, there is a better way to store them. Keep them in an empty container of disinfectant wipes. The hole at the top of the container provide the perfect place for them to poke through, while taking up less space where ever you keep them.

Organize Cooking Pans and Cutting Boards

If you're like me you have kitchen cabinets that are overflowing with baking pans and cutting boards. Every time I have to get one out it's a struggle, and putting them away after they're washed is just as difficult.

Use a metal magazine rack or file folder rack to help keep them organized and within easy reach. You'll be able to slide out the item you need easily and put it back without a challenge. The racks are likely to fit right behind your cabinet doors, or you can use extra counter space if it's available.

Keep Makeup Visible and Within Reach

Ladies, we all know the struggle of finding the right makeup brush, eyeshadow palette, or nail polish when getting ready. If you're looking for makeup organizer ideas, try using a set of acrylic drawers.

Designate one drawer for brushes, another for eyeshadow, one more for nail polish, and so on. You'll know exactly where everything is and be able to see it right away. This method can save some major time in the morning or when you're rushing out the door for a night out.

For Cotton Swabs and Cotton Balls

There's nothing worse than digging through the medicine cabinet for a cotton swab or cotton ball when you need it, but you also don't want the clutter of the entire pack taking up precious counter space.

Instead, use mason jars to store them neatly by your bathroom mirror. They will always be within reach and they'll stay clean in an upright position. Plus, you can find cute mason jars that match the color scheme of your bathroom online so you'll have the extra element of decoration.

Keep Your Spices in One Spot

This one may seem a little more obvious, but buying a spice rack changed the cooking game for me. I got tired of taking everything out of my cabinets to find that one spice I needed a single teaspoon of for a recipe. Plus, keeping them all on one shelf takes up valuable room.

There are plenty of spice rack styles to choose from, so you can pick the one that works best for your kitchen space. Find a lazy Susan that fits inside your cabinet, or a spinning spice rack for the countertop. Next time you're in the kitchen, you'll be happy you did. Trust me.

Simplify Your Cleaning Supplies

One of the best ways to keep all your cleaning supplies handy is to use the type of shoe organizers that hang over the back of doors. You can keep one hanging in the laundry room or in a bathroom closet. Simply put each bottle of cleaning solution, sponges, or scrub brush in one slot meant for shoes.

Next time you're cleaning the house you'll know exactly where to go and all your cleaning supplies will be visible in one place. Grab what you're looking for right away instead of wasting time rummaging under the sink.

Stop Losing Bobby Pins

We all know how it goes. You buy a brand new pack of bobby pins and it seems like just a week later they're all gone. Where did they go?! No body knows. But you're sure to find them in crevices around the house or at the bottom of a drawer when you're not expecting it.

One GR8 hack to use for keeping track of these ever-elusive pins is to store them in an empty Tic-Tac container. It's the perfect size and will keep them all in one place. As soon as you take a pin out of your hair, pop it back into the container and you'll know exactly where it is tomorrow.

Don't Misplace Another Hair Tie

Like bobby pins, hair ties seem to vanish into thin air. You can never find one when you need it. You swore you had one on your nightstand, but now it's gone. Or, you thought you had a few floating around the bottom of your bag but, alas, there are none to be found.

Try using a binder ring to clip them all together. You can keep one binder ring at home and carry one with you so your hair ties will be easy to find whenever you need one.

Keep Towels Rolled Tight

Is your bathroom tight on space? Maybe you don't have a linen closet to put extras in and you find yourself wondering how to keep everything looking neat and organized. One of the best towel organizer ideas we've heard it to hang a decorative wine rack on the bathroom wall.

The slots are the perfect size to hold rolled up towels and wash clothes. If you don't want to hang a large fixture, there are countertop sized wine racks as well. Pick one that matches the theme of your bathroom for an organizing hack that's practical and looks GR8.

Keep Cords Untangled

How many electronic cords do you have in your house that you aren't currently using at this very moment? Probably a ton. Phone charges, computer charges, HDMI cables, the whole bunch. Do you know where those cords are when you need them, and if so, are they neatly organized or at they all tangled together?

One way to keep cords organized is to use an empty paper towel tube. Simply thread each cord through the tube and place each tube in a drawer. You can as many cords as you need, and they'll stay straight and ready to use when you need them.
