Being in a loving relationship is a wonderful thing. Sharing your time and making memories with your significant other is important to show that you love and care for them. Sometimes, when you’ve been in a relationship for a while you may find yourself lacking in showing signs of love as you become comfortable or get stuck in the same routines. Thankfully, there are many ways to rekindle that connection so that you and your partner can feel appreciated and fully loved. Here are some little things that show someone you love them.

Do What You Like to Do

Meaning, you don’t have to do what everyone else thinks is romantic. Some couples thrive with expensive dinners and gifts of roses or chocolate and others may not. Do what you like to do as a couple, even if it’s sitting on the couch watching Netflix or being active outdoors. Do things that you truly know your partner will appreciate.

Always Listen to Your Partner

This can go along with the above tip as being an active listener helps you to better understand the wants and needs of your partner. Don’t just “hear” your significant other but rather listen to what they are actually saying. Ask thoughtful questions and pay attention to their body language. This small act of love can truly go a long way.

Help Each Other with Daily Chores

Doing a chore that your partner particularly hates can show that you recognize it and understand them. Taking that task off their hands for the day shows that you care and are thinking of them. It can also help them relax and appreciate you more in the process.

Set Aside Time for Each Other

You don’t need to spend all of your time with your partner but making the effort to spend time with them in the midst of your busy schedules is important. Set aside time for your significant other to spend quality time together even if it’s something small like grabbing a coffee. If extra busy, make time for a quick quality phone call to let them know you are thinking of them.

Be Each Other’s Biggest Supporters

If your partner is working hard at a particular goal whether it be a work project or other activity, be supportive by always encouraging them to reach their goals. That feeling of support by a loved one is extremely important and can give reassurance to help them succeed. Offer assistance or take care of small tasks for them to help them stay on track.

Be Appreciative

Show your partner appreciation for the things that they do for you whether they are big or small. Communicating with your significant other what you appreciate about them can boost their self-confidence and just overall make them feel good and appreciated. This will also allow them to continue to do the things you love for them to do.

Show Affection

Little pecks on the cheek or a light hand squeeze can go a long way. Even more so if you do those things in public. These little love things are a way to show not only your partner but the world your love for each other and will make your significant other feel good and confident.
