Ah, Pizza! The best food ever created. It’s great at dinner time when it is warm and full of oozy, cheesy goodness. But wait! It’s also pretty good when served cold for breakfast or straight from the fridge as a midnight snack. There’s no doubt that pizza is the GR8est food on earth. But you don’t have to eat it cold from the fridge. Try these pizza hacks to optimize your leftover pizza enjoyment.

Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwich

What’s better than a grilled cheese sandwich? Pizza grilled cheese, obvs. You’ll need two slices of pizza and some grated cheese. Place the cheese inside the two slices, with the crust facing out. Then place in a preheated medium-high pan and cook for about 3 minutes on each side.

No More Mushy Reheated Crust

Here’s a simple hack that beats the usual mushy microwaved crust. Just put a little water in a glass and place it in the microwave with your pizza slice. This creates a heat sink that will keep the crust’s moisture from evaporating and the condensation from turning the crust into a mushy, hot mess.

Waffle-Iron Pizza

Take a slice of leftover pizza and fold it to create a little package. Place the folded slice on a waffle iron and heat until the cheese is gooey and the crust is golden brown – about 5 minutes. The waffle iron will create nooks, culminating in a delicious final product perfect for dipping, so have your favorite sauce, butter, or oil handy.
