Positive affirmations for success can help you achieve things you would otherwise not think possible, and they take just a few minutes per day.
You can use affirmations to help change negative thoughts into positive ones, push yourself to do something great, and much more.
Affirmations affect our conscious and subconscious mind. This helps us change how we think, behave, act, and ultimately what we are capable of. Powerful stuff, right?
In this article we’re looking at how you can use affirmations to plan your future. Because, by using the right positive affirmations for success, and knowing how to use them, you can craft the future you want for yourself.
What Are Affirmations?
Anything you say to yourself out loud, or even say in your thoughts is an affirmation. Maybe you give yourself a little pep talk from time to time, or tell yourself everything is going to work out for the best. These are affirmations. Most people do it without consciously thinking about it.
The more often you repeat an affirmation, the more ingrained it becomes in your subconscious mind, and the more likely it is to come true.
Beware, negative affirmations can mold your reality, too. Think about this for a moment. You may have experienced this already without being aware of it until now.
Has there been something you wanted to achieve, and ended up doing so after telling yourself you could do it?
Think about how powerful this technique can be when you fully understand it and deliberately practice daily affirmations.
How to Use Affirmations
It’s incredibly easy to write and use affirmations, which is the best part about this practice. If you’re new to affirmations, here are some basic rules to follow when writing and using them to make them as impactful as possible:
Start with “I” – It’s important you write your affirmations to yourself and make them personal. Using “I” is the most powerful way you can do this, and it sends a clear message to your brain that you’re talking to yourself.
Keep them brief – The message needs to be short and direct to be memorable and impactful. An affirmation should not be more than a sentence and have one clear objective.
Make them specific – Much like setting goals and targets, the more specific the affirmation is, the clearer the end goal is and the more measurable the results are.
Pin them somewhere – It’s good practice to pin your affirmations somewhere you’ll see them each day. Popular places are the fridge door, a computer monitor, or anywhere else you’ll see them every day.
Repeat them daily – Say your affirmations out loud every day – and with some enthusiasm. Ideally, once in the morning and once before bed. If you want to repeat them throughout the day too, even better.
