Probiotics are the tiny bacteria in the digestive tract that impact various functions of the body. Anyone can benefit from adding them to their daily intake, but what can they do for men specifically?

Improve Heart Health

Besides the fact that heart disease is still the leading cause of death for both men and women worldwide, more than half of those who suffer and perish from the disease are men. Anything that can help to work against these stats is something worth considering.

One might not immediately consider the gut connection with the heart. But studies show that probiotics are a reliable companion for optimal heart health. Probiotics may have a significant ability to lower blood pressure. Another common issue leading to fatal cases of heart disease in men.

Fight Hair Loss

For the population of men who aren’t into embracing their baldness, probiotics might be a viable option for battling hair loss. A provocative study suggests that hair loss can be fought with the addition of probiotics due to the impact that gut health may have on the presence of biotin in the body.

Improve Mental Health Conditions

Mental health among men has become a prevalent issue in men’s health, as men account for more than half of the suicide rate. Men could use the added support of supplements that could potentially impact their mental and emotional capacity.

Probiotics have been suggested to help improve symptoms of anxiety and depression, as they can positively enhance mood by balancing gut bacteria that affect mental activity.

High cholesterol and being overweight are closely related to heart disease, and probiotics can help assist with both.
