While you are likely a pretty busy person, it’s still important to take care of yourself from time to time. Self-care is vital for mental well-being and confidence. If you want to make your self-care as quick as possible, here are some self-care practices/habits you can put into place that take 15 minutes or less a day.

Read Something

Whether you are diving into your favorite fiction or a fashion magazine, read something you enjoy. It’s a great way to leave “life” for a little while and be transported to a world where nothing else matters except the words on the paper in front of you.

Give Yourself a Facial

Take the time to really take care of your skin by enjoying a refreshing facial. You do not have to be using expensive products, just use whatever you already have in your bathroom and give yourself the kind of pampering that you really need.

Take a Nap

A 15-minute power nap is all some people need to make them feel like a brand-new person. So, rejuvenate yourself and rest for a little while, and this could be all the self-care that you need at this moment in time.

Get Outside

Fresh air can do you the world of good, so why not go for a 15-minute walk around your neighborhood? Do it with no distractions and check out your surroundings, or you can pop in your earphones, listen to your favorite songs and escape the world around you.

Call a Friend

When is the last time you called a friend and had a genuine conversation? Most people text and instant message nowadays but a chat on the phone can do so many beneficial things for you. You don’t have to chat about anything in particular, just call and see how the conversation flows.

Meditate

Meditation is a great way to give yourself some love, clear your mind, and generally feel like yourself again. If you are brand new to meditation and a little hesitant, check out some popular apps to help you get started. If you want to feel at one with yourself while also getting some exercise in, yoga is a great workout and it’s also got a little meditation incorporated into it.

Color

Adult coloring books are flying off the shelves and there is a great reason for that, it is extremely relaxing and a great method of self-care. Spend 15-minutes a day coloring and you are going to notice a change in your mood and attitude towards life.

Now that you know some basic self-care habits that do not take very long at all, you can start to put them into practice. While it’s important to think of others and work hard, you also need to do things that nourish your body and mind. The methods mentioned are some great places to start with this so make sure you start fitting as many of them as possible into your day-to-day life.
