Whether you’re looking to lose weight, or you’re merely trying to live a more active lifestyle, many things are happening to your body when you workout. Beyond what we see, like our faces turning red, our heart pounding, and our mood instantly improving, our body experiences many things we don’t necessarily see. If you’ve ever wondered what happens to your body when you workout, don’t worry, you’re not alone. We’ve asked ourselves this question as well, and we finally got some answers.

All of this is true but too many people think that working out can help you lose weight. That is rarely true. Unfortunately, people who start working out to lose weight find that the additional activity actually makes them more hungry. This sort of defeats the purpose. Instead of lengthening your workout, shorten it and use interval training. Thirty seconds of intense activity, followed by thirty seconds of recovery, until you’ve completed 20 minutes of very hard activity. Ultimately, weight loss is almost always about what you put in your mouth.
