The Calories Dilemma
Somehow calories got a bad reputation. However, without calories, we couldn’t do essential functions like walking, let alone breathe. The recommended calorie intake per day varies per age, gender, and weight management goals. The average adult should eat about 2,000 calories to maintain their weight. If you’re looking to lose weight, that number drops to around 1,500 calories per day.
However, what’s most important than the number is the nutritional value behind these calories. You should limit your consumption of empty calories, such as:
- Bacon
- Cakes
- Cheese
- Cookies
- Energy drinks
- Ice cream
- Pizza
