Many believe power yoga is the beginning of the “gym yoga” trend. However, this yoga style has its roots deep in Ashtanga and can be traced back to the 1990s. Fast forward to today, and there’s a Power Yoga class at every gym, and most yoga studios have a few slots for those yogis looking for a more fast-paced practice.
