Not everyone believes in the power of meditation. However, what if you could you could meditate at work and improve the time you spend at the office each day? Reports from major institutions like the Mayo Clinic say that when a person spends a few minutes each day meditating, their inner peace and calmness can be restored. Let’s face it, work can be a stressful place. Meditation at work can help you ease your way through a tense day

An office can also be the best place for a person to meditate. Most people don’t have enough time at home between family life and the never-ending tasks that home life demands of us. The hustle and bustle of children, pets, and other things make meditating at home hopeless for some. The answer to this is to meditate at work, the place you go to five days a week, the place where meditation is needed the most.

Meditation at Work

Ten to fifteen minutes each day is enough to relieve many stressful situations. Here are five additional reasons to consider incorporating meditation into your daily work routine:

  • Meditation can be done anywhere
  • Meditation is free
  • Meditation settles the mind and reduces anxiety
  • Meditation boosts creativity
  • Meditation helps you cope with demanding situations

As business and work becomes more global, the amount of stress introduced into a person’s job can be overwhelming. Meditation can help overcome the difficulties we face at work making the work day more enjoyable. Geoff Koboldt, a contributor to the Huffington Post and leader in cultural transformations, reveals that when he meditates at work it helps in numerous ways like having clarity in the decision-making process, memory sharpness, listening skills, and emotional intelligence. He also mentions that meditation at work has helped him to have a better awareness of his leadership role and his office presence that is displayed to his staff, and that when he meditates at work he has a better sense of purpose, all of which help keep the stress level down.
