Excessive typing, driving, and other activities that use the delicate muscles in the wrist and arm can cause what’s called Carpal tunnel syndrome. This happens when your nerves in the passageway on the side of your wrist becomes compressed.

How Yoga Can Help Carpal Tunnel

Those who suffer from Carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms may find relief in practicing yoga. Yoga enables better blood flow to the parts of the body experiencing pain and poses often apply or release pressure to address specific ailments. It’s ideal for treating other chronic pains.

Lay flat on your belly with your arms at your sides, then lift your chest to the sky as you prop your arms before you, curling your wrists outward. Point your chin up and push from your core to stretch upward.

Forward Fold with Wrist Stretch

Stand in an upright position and fold your upper half as far as you can down, attempting to touch your toes. If you can, place your palms beneath your feet for a stretch. To modify, try sitting on the floor in a straddle, extending one leg at a time as you wrap your wrist around the farthest part of your foot.
