Yoga has really taken off in the last few years, and it shows no sign of losing popularity any time soon. Studios all around the world are opening up at a fast pace, and many are discovering all the true benefits they can gain from it. Traditional yoga is fine, but what about switching things up a bit? Believe it or not, there are several yoga trends that are helping people stay motivated instead of hitting a wall. Here are a few of the top crazy yoga trends we need to try out.

Digital Yoga

Nothing quite says 2019 like digital yoga. For those people who are extremely busy, it’s easy to blow off yoga for the night. Instead of falling into that habit, digital yoga from qualified instructors is the way to go. Online yoga instructors have existed for years now, but local yoga studios are getting on board as well. Many studios are posting their workouts online, so those people who belong can view all of the workouts on their own. This is great to help fill in the gaps when life becomes a little too busy. It also allows a person to do some extra work on their own to catch up with others in the class. It’s much easier to learn from an instructor you know than just somebody randomly instructing without any personal connection.

Yoga in a Chair

Sticking with busy lifestyles, doing yoga in a chair is another way to make the most out of spare time. The yoga isn’t that challenging, so it’s more for beginners trying to improve their breathing. Think of chair yoga as something that’s more of a work out for the mind instead of the body. Maybe it won’t leave you sore or challenged physically, but everyone could use a break from a hectic life. Fit in a session or two before fully judging it.

Yoga Wheels

In the last year, adding a plastic wheel to the yoga experience is a big game-changer for some people. It allows for slightly different poses, and it gives people a different workout as well. In particular, it focuses on helping the core firm up. It also adds a little bit of stability for some people who might not otherwise take on such challenging poses. Unlike some other gimmicks out there, the yoga wheel is great for beginners and seasoned veterans. It’s a very inexpensive add-on to use, every once in a while, for a slightly different challenge.

Aerial Yoga

The aerial yoga experience feels like floating on air. More and more studios are offering this type, and it’s a fun way to get a good workout. It is also an easier way to do yoga for those who are dealing with some joint pain. The challenge is still there, but full suspension in mid-air allows the body to not take as much abuse. The focus is on moving gracefully and having the right posture at all times. It’s not exactly the best for beginners, because there is a fear of falling that gets in the head. For those looking for a different experience, it’s a great new fitness workout focusing on some different muscles.

With any exercise, it helps to have new challenges once in a while. Think of these trends as new challenges, and yoga turns into a fun thing to look forward to every day.
