Our skin. The largest organ in our body, and the one that gives us all the joy and all the headaches in the world. To some, skin is something they take for granted. To those struggling with skin issues, skin is in control of their self-esteem meter.
It might seem trivial, but our skin is our first introduction to the world. Whether we realize it or not, a dirty, acne-mined, and unhealthy skin is often linked to someone who doesn’t take care of themselves. Even when the opposite is the more likely scenario.
The Skincare Dilemma
Those with skin concerns are told, “it’s not a big deal,” “just cover it up with makeup,” “see a dermatologist, and be done with it.” Well, the reality is that skincare concerns are a big deal, can’t just be covered up, and yes, we’ve all been to countless dermatologists before. Feel the struggle there?
As someone who dealt with skin issues for years due to depression and a million other factors, I get you. Acne, wrinkles, blemishes, dark spots, and pollution might all seem like cosmetic issues, which they are, but they can dig deep into our self-image, bringing down our self-esteem and leading us to question virtually everything. I mean, share this post if you’ve ever stayed home because your skin was just a mess, and you felt ashamed to step outside. Like they say: been there, done that.
GR8 Skin Starts Here
But, GR8NESS is a different type of space. Here, we don’t stay home and stare at ourselves in the mirror for hours. Instead, we act upon our issues, we look for different solutions, and we support each other. Isn’t that all that matters?
Because we’re a GR8 community, we want to ask you about your #1 skincare concern. Together, we’ll discover the root causes of these issues, we’ll scout the world for real-life answers and solutions, and we’ll be on this skincare/self-care journey together.
Join the GR8 Poll below and stay tuned to what our community has to say.
